Field Service Engineer – Composting Machinery (California)
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of composting machinery, covering the California region. Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Provide on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for composting machinery at customer locations across the Northeast.
- Customer Support: Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting clients with technical issues, optimizing machine performance, and providing training on equipment operation.
- Installation & Commissioning: Assist with the installation and setup of new composting machines, ensuring they are running efficiently and meet customer specifications.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance visits, identifying potential issues before they become costly problems, and keeping machinery in optimal working condition.
- Documentation: Accurately document all service activities, parts usage, and customer interactions to ensure seamless communication with the service team and customers.
- Travel: Regular travel throughout the Northeast USA, with occasional overnight stays as required.
Requirements:
- Experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferably in field service roles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a background in machinery or industrial equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the region.
- Knowledge of composting equipment or recycling machinery is a plus but not required.
