Position: Platform Support Engineer, Senior
This company operates a cutting-edge electronic trading platform that focuses on streamlining and enhancing the bond trading process for institutional investors. By leveraging advanced technology and data analytics, it provides real-time trading insights, greater transparency, and improved liquidity in the corporate bond market. The platform empowers traders with more efficient tools to execute and manage trades, transforming the way institutional bond trading is conducted.
Location:
- Remote-based role
- Preferred: PST (Pacific Time), though EST (Eastern Time) is also acceptable.
Compensation:
- Base salary of $150,000 - $190,000
- Discretionary bonus

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on technical support for the platform, including handling alerts, service crashes, log errors, and troubleshooting.
- Work with tools like Kubernetes, Grafana, and Prometheus to maintain platform stability and performance.
- Automate processes using scripting languages like Python (Bash-only experience is not sufficient).
- Collaborate closely with SRE teams to improve monitoring practices and ensure efficient operations.
- Handle day-to-day platform support tasks, leveraging a DevOps background, but with a focus on support and issue resolution rather than engineering.
- Take ownership of tasks, working independently to solve problems and improve platform functionality.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong experience with Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and dashboards, particularly Grafana and Prometheus.
- Python scripting skills (multi-language scripting experience preferred).
- Hands-on experience with platform troubleshooting and automation.
Preferred Background:
- Experience in Fintech, banking, or similar industries.
- Familiarity with working in smaller, agile environments, where flexibility and initiative are valued over rigid structures.
- No specific education requirements.
Team Environment:
- The platform support team is currently 3 members strong, with plans to grow to 5.
