Technical BA – CTP or Perm - Suffolk, VA – $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Technical BA in Suffolk, VA.
Role Description
The technical business analyst is responsible for ensuring that member facing applications / systems are working and have been implemented effectively and align to the banks overall business objectives and enhance member satisfaction. This would include;
1. Working closely with the business to gather and document business requirements that can be translated into clear functional system specifications
2. Evaluate existing systems and recommend design improvements based in business requirements.
3. Act as a liaison between the business users and technical teams ensuring that a clear understanding of functionality is understood
4. Coordinate/ lead the testing and quality assurance activities to ensure the systems meet member needs and agreed upon business requirements
5. Identify potential risks related to the new system implementation
6. Assist in the analysis of system issues
As a Technical Business Analyst, you may look forward to:
Implement, maintain and support information systems to meet the business needs of the bank
Essential Responsibilities:
• Maintain detailed understanding of the bank’s current technical infrastructure
• Comprehensive understanding of banking products and their lifecycle
• Assist / develop test scenarios and test scripts with business users
• Continuous learning of latest industry trends, regulations and technology
• Identify opportunities for process improvements by leveraging technology
• Provide technical assistance and guidance during the setup of new systems
• Help address technical challenges that arise
Specific Duties:
• Validate technology solutions with a long-term usage view, and the flexibility to adopt to future changes
• Act as a feedback mechanism from business to make necessary changes and improvements in solution development
• Create system documentation
• Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
• Other duties as assigned

• Technical skills (not programming) including knowledge of APIs, data mapping processes, SQL, data visualization tools and cloud computing technologies
• Communicating with business and technology leaders, both within and outside the organization
• Ability to think critically and be analytical

Desired Skills & Competencies:
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field with 5 years of professional experience
• Strong familiarity with the financial services industry and technology concepts
