JOB TITLE: Senior Manager of Project Development
Our Client:
Our Client is a well established player in the renewable energy space, with a global reach and significant assets in Canada, France, and the U.S. with a growth strategy in the U.S. particularly with its focus on solar, wind, and storage projects in key markets like New York, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. The company's approach as a developer-owner-operator rather than a "flipper" makes it an attractive proposition for candidates who want to be involved in the long-term, sustainable projects.
🌟 Responsibilities:
- Lead 2-3 large-scale solar projects in New York, with projects in the 150 MW+ range. These projects are currently in the mid-stage of development, with site control secured, interconnection applications well-advanced, and permitting either submitted or in progress.
- Responsible for taking these projects through the final stages of permitting and preparing them for Notice to Proceed (NTP) and hand over to the execution team.
- Play a critical role in guiding projects through the final development steps, ensuring a smooth transition to construction and beyond.
🎓 Qualifications and Skills:
- Utility-scale solar project experience, having taken projects from early stages to NTP.
- A strong understanding of New York's regulatory process, as well as familiarity with the broader U.S. market.
- Ideally located in New York or nearby to serve as the face of the company on the ground, interacting with key stakeholders and managing site-related activities.
- Familiarity with interconnection processes, land lease agreements, and site permitting.
📍Location:
- New York City or State Preferred.
💰 Compensation:
- $150,000-$175,000 base salary
- 25% Bonus
