I am seeking a bilingual HR Generalist located in Palm Beach for a distribution company. This person needs to be adept at being a one-person HR department for a small company. The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and including payroll processing, recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and more.
This role offers a primarily remote schedule, and a salary.
Areas of Focus:
- Proactive, self-starter able to operate as a one-person HR department.
- Support 40 employees across the business and add value in all areas of HR: full-cycle recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, policies, employee relations, training, payroll, compliance, and ongoing miscellaneous projects.
- Special projects - create or redefine: employee handbook, employee engagement & recognition programs, performance review process, future benefits program.
- Act as a business partner to the owners, advise them on what is happening on the ground, and what initiatives are most needed to support the company.
Seeking:
- Previous experience as a one-person HR department.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations for employers with 50+ employees
- Exposure working with a blue-collar workforce.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Experience with Paychex is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years' experience in Human Resources
- Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
- Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
- Attention to detail and good judgement
