Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Risk Management Coordinator at SURESTAFF LLC in Itasca, IL. The Risk Management Coordinator will be responsible for aspects of the administration of the Workers’ Compensation program, including conducting post-incident investigations, facilitating the timely completion of all necessary post-incident documentation, processing claims and monitoring of claim status through resolution. Also, responsible to visit client worksites to assess safety conditions, pre-placement risk exposures and areas of potential risk for new and existing clients.

- Respond timely to all reports of employee accidents, injury or illness, providing instruction and guidance concerning procedures. Coordinate administration of medical attention.
- Conduct prompt post-incident investigations.
- Prepare all required post-incident documentation timely and accurately ensuring completeness and clarity of data.
- Consult with Risk Manager regarding compensability and appropriateness of claims. Initiate further review and investigation if necessary.
- Process claims ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
- Act as liaison between the company and the client regarding incident and disposition of claims
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in working with people
- Exercise confidentiality and discretion as appropriate.
- Provide advice and direction to company employees and clients regarding policies, procedures and application of the Worker's Compensation program.
- Make scheduled and unscheduled visits to client worksites to assess safety conditions and areas of potential risk.
- Provide appropriate information to mitigate risk factors which contribute to unsafe work practices or environments, and provide feedback on areas for improvement.
- Facilitate training and retraining on safety standards and practices, including forklift training.
- Aid in running and maintaining risk management spreadsheets.
- Re-price internal medical bills.
- Complete new client site inspections and risk assessments.
- Create customized job descriptions.
Qualifications
- Analytical Skills and Risk Analysis capabilities
- Experience in Risk Management or Workers' Compensation Claims Management is a plus but not required
- Excellent Communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
