Food Safety Assistant Needed in Moorpark
Industry: Food Manufacturing and Agriculture
Pay range = $20 - $35 / hour DOE
Mon - Fri (Some Saturdays)
7am or 8am start time
40 - 48 hours/week
Job Summary:
Oversee the food safety program for the company and provide food safety support to the warehouse, packaging, ranches and harvest crews. Verify correct implementation of safety program,
Identify deviations and follow corrective actions to improve the food safety program.
Qualifications:

cGMP Knowledge
Billingual (Spanish and English)

Responsibilities:
Review grower documentation
Review grower documentation at receiving product
Visit growers and vendors and follow up with food safety managers
Training different departments in food safety processes
Review and update documentation
Review food safety controls in all departments
Conduct self-audits in all departments
Follow up on corrective actions
Review and prepare safety records
Coordinat safety information between ranches and vendors
Fole Food Safety Documentation
Review inventory and needs of sanitation crews
Verify vendor compliance (ice, chemicals, packaging material, etc.)
Review and implementation of regulatory requirements from FDA, LGMA, FSMA and customer specs.
Food safety meetings with supervisors to review non-compliance matters
Work with supervisors in implementation of good food safety controls
Give support on any food safety issues
Give support during audits
