Occupational Therapist - Acute - (OT - Acute)

Pay Rate: $1601.28 - $1844.95
OT needed ASAP
OTR Rehab (767) / 8A-4P / 13 weeks
Weekend rotation 2 weekend shift( 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday)
Type of equipment – The following is a listing of equipment personnel should be competent to operate. This is not meant to be all inclusive and may be expanded based on addition of new technology.
1. Computer
2. Electrical Stimulation/Ultra Sound
3. Hot Pack/Cold Pack
4. Hoyer Lift
5. Standing Frame
EMR - Meditech
Must have:
· Graduate of AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association) accredited university or college with B.S. in Occupational Therapy
· Ability to organize and manage time effectively for maximum productivity and for timely patient evaluations and reporting.
· Verbal ability to understand medical terminology and how it applies to Occupational Therapy.
· Ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, physicians and to effectively prepare meaningful reports.
· Visual perceptual and motor abilities to understand biomechanics of human body and adapted device actions.
· Clerical abilities to keep accurate departmental records of patient treatment.
· Motor coordination, manual dexterity and ability to execute accurately and safely therapeutic procedures and manipulate special equipment.
· Ability to relate to people during illness and crisis situations.
· A preference for motivating patients toward their recovery to maximize their rehabilitation potential.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
· Currently licensed or licensure eligible in the State of Texas.
· Trained and currently certified in CPR.
· Current certification with NBCOT.
Preferred or nice to have: Experience in Inpatient Rehab setting
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
· Perform evaluation and Treatments
· ADLs
· Team conference notes and updates
· Discharge planning with recommendations
