Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Location: Fremont, CA
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will oversee the engineering team responsible for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality manufacturing of electro-mechanical products. The role includes leading continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage a team of manufacturing engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, production, quality) to improve product manufacturing.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production challenges.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and implement corrective actions for process deviations.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, and process documentation.
- Manage budget and resources for engineering projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably with a focus on electro-mechanical products.
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management & leadership skills, Acute attention to detail
- Familiarity with MES, CAD software and automation technologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with Excellent written and analytical skills
- Self-motivated and proactive to try new approaches and creatively solve problems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work well as a mentor.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, plan and organize projects.
- Creative, flexible, and innovative leader.
Compensation
- The base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $145,000 per year; higher compensation may be available depending on advanced skills and/or specific experience.
- YES also offers a performance-based annual bonus and a competitive benefits package, which includes a 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision and life insurance, in addition to flexible PTO and company stock.
