We are looking for a Business Analyst for one of our clients. In this role, you will perform in-depth business and functional analysis while developing detailed specifications for target-state designs. This position offers the flexibility to be based in one of several locations: Charlotte, NC; New York, NY; Jersey City, NJ; Newark, DE; or Plano, TX, following a hybrid schedule (three days onsite and two days remote). Please note, candidates must be local to one of these areas to be considered.

Pay: $50-60 per hour
Duration: 12-month contract
The ideal candidate should be comfortable navigating fluid change, understanding complex product sets, and working within diverse operational environments. You will perform structured analysis to capture critical requirements, with high stakeholder exposure across Operations, Finance, Technology, and Business teams. Building strong relationships with sub-team leads and leveraging industry best practices are key to success in this role. Banking experience is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Lead analysis on systems migration and its impact on operations teams.
- Design, map current state, and develop new operational, risk, and control processes as needed.
- Build strong partnerships with operational, project, and technology teams to support the decommissioning and migration process.
- Provide input on functionality changes and identify automation opportunities.
- Perform impact assessments, produce business requirements, UAT scenarios, and support procedures and training.
- Ensure proper documentation and sign-off on business requirements and changes.
- Proactively manage scope changes and implement contingency plans where necessary.
- Produce management reports on status and progress and provide deputy support to the project manager.
- Analyze and evaluate the current state of reconciliation and tooling capabilities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience driving transformation across organizations, with the ability to deliver projects on time.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and make recommendations for change.
- Familiarity with project governance processes, including documentation, reporting, tollgates, and risk management.
- Experience with banking operations is required. Capital Markets knowledge is highly desirable.
