Peregrine Team is hiring for an HR Business Partner well versed in Employee Relations in Orange County, CA. This position is a full-time, direct hire position with full benefits and competitive pay and an opportunity to work at the top Hospital in Orange County.

Job Duties:
- The HRBP provides key consultation, solutions and support to organizational leadership in support of the hospital's strategic plan.
- Uses critical thinking, judgement and persuasion to drive decisions that are in alignment with hospital's core values.
- Develops effective relationships with the business to understand organization dynamics.
- Creates strategies to proactively address workplace issues with stakeholders.
- Identifies & analyzes trends to proactively address root causes and systemic issues.
- Engages leadership to identify options and resources to meet operational needs and to build support for identified solutions.
- Consults on all matters involving the employee/employer relationship and especially those that are complex and sensitive.
- Provides expert HR input on operational decisions and interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
- Provides subject matter expertise on policies, employment law, the investigation process, understanding trends and applying best practices.
- The Employee Relations Advisor will have working knowledge of various Human Resources (HR) practices including, but not limited to, employee relations, performance management, legal and regulatory compliance, skill development, interactive process and requests for accommodation, and compensation practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, industrial labor relations, business or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in employee relations
- Minimum of 8 years within Human Resources Proven track record as a trusted advisor and consultant to the business & HR leadership to provide effective counsel on workplace matters
- Strong knowledge of pertinent labor/employment laws as well as human resource management principles, practices & procedures
- Experience delivering business-based solutions in potentially emotional, pressure filled and time sensitive situations
- Significant experience with statistical concepts, interpreting statistical results and identifying trends
- Strong knowledge of local, state (California) and federal employment law and regulations including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA and workers compensation
- Strong knowledge of performance management
- Experience advising management regarding complex performance deficiency or policy violation issues, including high-risk cases requiring investigations performed under attorney-client privilege
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, industrial labor relations, business or related field
- Large corporation HR/ER experience
- Managed complex and cross-functional initiatives, processes and projects
- Healthcare industry knowledge
- Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite applications Experience with Success Factors or other recruiting systems, and Lawson or other HRIS systems
- SPHR certification preferred
