Tyto Athene is searching for a Drupal Developer/Technical Business Analyst to ensure the capabilities required by stakeholders are defined and analyzed to successfully execute the requests assigned and provide efficient, seamless, and well-crafted web products that meet the evolving needs of the customer. The Drupal Developer/Technical Business Analyst will focus on analyzing requirements, implementing or testing solutions, and supporting web content management system based changes/enhancements, releases and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to gather and/or define business and technical integration requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications to determine technical feasibility and preliminary LOE.
- Craft documents with technical specifications and describe the processes and techniques that could best be applied to the customer website.
- Write technical/procedural documentation to define website development work to be populated as work items, bugs and spikes within Azure Dev/Ops Projects.
- Deliver top-notch and easily maintainable new features that focus on user needs.
- Stay informed on Drupal trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve business/technology solutions.
- Provide quality code reviews on pull requests.
- Provide training and support to business user on new systems and processes.
- Testing & Validation: Assist in creating test plans and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that Drupal implementations meet the specified business needs.
- Project Management Support: Provide support to the project management team in tracking project timelines, risks, and ensuring project deliverables are met.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills in collaboration with multiple teams.
- Provide project updates with stakeholders about progress, adjustments and roadblocks.
Required:
- Three (3) to five (5) years of Drupal experience; working with and maintaining a wide range of Drupal modules; in-depth knowledge of Drupal 9 & 10, including advanced site-building ability (Drupal, PHP, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
- Strong understanding of Drupal architecture and capabilities, including content management, views, blocks, modules, and user permissions
- Experience with common git-based development workflows and code management, including release management.
- Experience using Azure Dev/Ops tools.
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards and SEO best practices.
- Knowledge and experience with the lifecycle of a technology upgrade integration process, including planning, analysis, design, development and testing.
- General understanding about the best practices involved with user-experience (UX) design, search engine marketing and optimization.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum project management methodologies.
- Ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
Location: This position is mostly remote, but candidates must live within local travel distance of Fort Belvoir, VA, and be available to travel to Fort Belvoir on a as needed basis (10%-25% estimated)
