Seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Writer to join our Cybersecurity team
Job title:: Technical Writer
Duration:: 1-year Contract
Pay range:: $32-$35 per hour
Location:: Phoenix, AZ, 85007 (HYBRID)
Shift:: Mon-Fri; 8am-5pm
Position Description
- Creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation for a variety of audiences, including technical staff, non-technical stakeholders, and end-users.
- Play a critical role in ensuring that our cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems are well-understood and properly implemented.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of different cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with graphic design and multimedia development.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the cybersecurity field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in authoring tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp, or Microsoft Word. Experience with content management systems.

- Collaborate with cybersecurity team members to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.

- Adhere to style guides and templates to ensure consistency and quality.
- Use a variety of authoring and content management tools.
- Manage documentation review and approval processes.
- Stay up-to-date on cybersecurity best practices and industry trends.
- Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and FAQs.
- Assist with other cybersecurity-related tasks as needed.
Education Required
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) are a plus.
