Job Description:
Coordinate and execute tasks related to the design, installation, configuration, and administration of the Siebel application across all environments. Responsibilities include completing and submitting migration control documentation, supporting migration activities, and collaborating with teams on connectivity, version/patch updates, upgrades, and database activities. You will also review requirements with business teams, conduct unit tests, document results, and assist with integration testing. Additionally, you’ll provide operational support by writing ad-hoc queries for the business team.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of Siebel architecture, including Gateway Server, Enterprise Server, Siebel Server, and Tomcat Server.
- Ability to troubleshoot Siebel enterprise and server issues.
- Extensive experience with performance tuning in Siebel implementations.
- Prior experience with various Siebel modules, such as Service Request/Activity (with attachments), List of Values, Workflows, and Scripts in both production and non-production environments.
- Proficient in Siebel EAI integrations (REST APIs, JMS).
- Experience migrating and deploying Siebel objects between environments.
- Knowledge of Siebel authentication methods (LDAP, SSO, ADSI).
- Experience developing customized solutions and writing code using eScript and VB Script in high-volume Siebel environments.
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of variable scope (Global vs. Local).
- Team player with excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in application development with Siebel IP17 or higher.
- Experience installing and configuring Siebel systems on Windows and Linux OS using Oracle databases.
- Expertise in VB Script, eScript, and EAI integration (REST APIs, JMS).
- Solid knowledge of Siebel architecture (Gateway Server, Enterprise Server, Siebel Server).
- Experience working with Tomcat.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Additional Requirements:
- Initially remote, transitioning to a hybrid setup (Contract-to-Hire) / Hybrid (for Direct Hire).
