Purpose of the Position
Buildcorp Direct is the distribution arm of Duraframe Solutions, designed to provide the construction industry with high quality products at unbeatable prices. Our online ecommerce platform allows us to supply innovative solutions that decrease project expenses, while also increasing job-site efficiency. We offer a diverse inventory centered around steel framing and interior contracting supplies that suit projects of all sizes. Including connectors, anchors, hangers, clips, brackets, sound isolation products, doors, door frames, tools, and various framing solutions.
As the Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be required to contribute to the sales and marketing strategy and primarily coordinate and execute the company’s sales and marketing activity program across several product brands. You will be responsible for creation and execution of omnichannel marketing, advertising, and communications, which includes maintenance of the digital/social media communications, management of the marketing team, and creation of any other documents or activity related to Marketing. You will also be responsible for overseeing the efforts of the sales team and driving sales growth.
Key Effectiveness Areas and Responsibilities
Marketing Responsibilities:
•Contribute to the preparation of marketing plans and schedules
•Assist with the marketing updates and performance reporting to the Leadership Team
•Develop the digital strategy and be responsible for the deployment of those strategies.
•Run the social media campaigns across key channels. Analyze and continually improve to optimize engagement
•Develop new marketing programs for expanded awareness, customer acquisition and engagement program.
•Create and communicate regular internal marketing updates to inform of all upcoming activity, actions required as well as performance and insights.
•Manage in house content for specific promotions.
•Create and action advertisements for digital channels.
•Maintain the marketing activity calendar up to date and ensure the calendar is an accurate historical record of actioned activities for future reference.
•Manage the activities of the marketing team: Delegate and brief staff on tasks and projects, provide constructive feedback and manage staff work load effectively.
•Attend all marketing meetings, and other meetings relevant to the marketing activity.
Sales Management Responsibilities:
•Manage, coordinate, and drive the daily work of the sales team. This will include participating and involvement in the daily sales activities as one of the sales team members.
•Provide excellent leadership and motivate the sales team.
•Actively contribute ideas and solutions for the sales team, including the provision of market intelligence on competitor activities and prices.
•Manage inside sales members to drive new leads of potential customers through close management of MSIs (Meaningful Sales Interactions).
•Responsible to drive top line growth with double digit increase each year.
Teamwork and Leadership Responsibilities:
•Be a team player. Work with the Buildcorp team for the good of the whole business.
•Demonstrate excellent internal and external customer service. Respond promptly to email and phone calls.
•Manage time in an effective manner and meet deadlines. Request help if you are becoming overloaded.
Selection Criteria
Technical Skills:
•A Marketing/Business degree (or equivalent qualification).
•A sound knowledge of strategic marketing principles and practices.
•The ability to think strategically and then implement to deliver that.
•Excellent writing skills and the ability to vary style by media and audience: i.e. blogs, editorial, advertising copy as well as business report writing.
•A passion and understanding for digital and social media.
•The ability to lead a team.
•1-3 years of experience in driving sales revenue through an ecommerce platform.
