This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with a salary range of $120,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Position Overview:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial operations, ensuring robust cash flow management, financial planning, compliance, and taxation. They will lead a high-performing team and leverage technology to build, deliver, and enhance all the financial management processes under their care. The CFO will be an active member of the Senior Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Analysis
- Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Oversee financial statement preparation and provide strategic recommendations.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the budgeting process and maintain budget reports.
- Analyze historical data to optimize pricing strategies and identify growth trends.
3. Financial Reporting
- Monitor performance against budgets and prepare consolidated financial reports.
- Present reports, findings, and recommendations to the Senior Management Team & other stakeholders.
4. Annual Bonus and Profit-Sharing Management
- Assess and manage bonus allocations based on financial performance.
- Ensure all payouts are made accurately and in a timely manner.
5. Financial Relationships
- Establish & manage relationships with financial institutions and manage capital provision.
6. Compliance and Governance
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and coordinate with auditors.
- Have a proactive approach to ensure compliance in multiple states, territories, and countries.
7. Tax Compliance
- Oversee tax obligations, ensuring timely filings and minimizing liabilities.
- Understand and navigate through tax laws across states as well as countries we do business in.
8. Department Supervision
- Lead and mentor accounting and payroll staff in a collaborative environment.
9. System Implementation and Improvement
- Implement and enhance financial systems for efficiency and accuracy.
- Work with IT to ensure that the appropriate technology solutions are in place to support the departmental processes & goals.
10. Cash Flow Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.
11. Real Estate Financial Management & Forecasting
- Assist with the purchasing, development, and selling of properties.
- Conduct market analysis to forecast and recommend decisions on property acquisitions.
12. Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- CPA or CFA certification is required; additional certifications (CMA, CTP) are a plus.
- 10-15 years of finance experience, including 5+ years in a senior role.
- Proven ability to manage financial operations in a multinational context.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and financial software, particularly Sage systems.
- Familiarity with agriculture, real estate, or multinational operations is advantageous.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities in complex, fast-paced environments.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work some extended hours, potentially weekends, during peak seasons.
- Limited PTO during harvest season and payroll processing.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Some domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary Range:
- $120,000 to $160,000 annual + bonus
