A general contractor HQed in Chicago specializing in healthcare and federal construction with over $200M in annual revenue. They have grown from a small firm to a mid-size, industry leader in the healthcare and federal space over the course of the last 2-3 years. This growth can largely be attested to their approach to construction and relationship building strategies. They also have an incredible internal culture of communication and transparency.
The Role
The QA/QC Manager will be directly responsible for ensuring building codes and standards are adhered to on these projects. This role will report directly into the Program Manager. Additional responsibilities include:
- Develop a Quality Control plan ahead of project groundbreaking and continue to adhere to plan throughout construction
- Communicating with the Superintendent daily on necessary changes to project, including: materials, scheduling, permits, local/state regulations, etc
- Schedule look aheads and analyzing potential future issues before they happen
- Speaking with the internal project management team to assess feasibility of changes
- Perform jobsite walkthroughs routinely while reviewing QC plan and previously recommended changes
- Travel is required for this role
Requirements
- At least 5 years of construction experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- USACE CQM-C certification preferred
- Experience with healthcare or federal construction
- Ability to travel
Compensation/Benefits
- Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 depending on experience
