Job Description
The Solidigm AI Central team, within Solidigm’s SPM (Strategic Planning and Marketing) Group, strives to pioneer strategic partnerships, establish Solidigm as a thought leader and drive impactful strategic and marketing initiatives, fostering a cohesive AI ecosystem for Solidigm. Here is the opportunity to align your passions, skills, and career growth plans to join Solidigm’s AI central team. In support of accelerating business growth, Solidigm AI Central is looking for an AI Technologist. This role demands a seasoned professional with strong technical expertise in server platforms and an adept ability to navigate the complex interplay between hardware and software in AI and HPC infrastructure, especially suitable for large language models (LLMs). This role is expressly defined to ensure our customers are enabled with the right HW/SW building blocks and the right guidance for efficiently setting up, configuring, and tuning these building. Solidigm is a storage solutions company and this role requires the candidate to be very proficient in all things storage and will build towards establishing us as the subject matter expert with all the partners we work with. This position demands a deep understanding of data center platform interdependencies and technology strategy with both HPC and AI knowledge desired. Furthermore, a key aspect of this role is ensuring that emerging software best practices for AI & HPC consistently inform and influence our engagement strategies, future product definitions, and any associated plans of record (POR) changes. This role is critical to enabling our rapid scaling and broad customer adoption both in enterprise and cloud. It requires considering all aspects of system HW/FW/SW to ensure Solidigm based solutions deliver more value than our competition.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Ecosystem Mapping:
- Create and maintain a comprehensive enterprise/Datacenter AI Ecosystem Partner Map across the AI data pipeline from Day 1.
Technical Expertise:
- Leverage deep knowledge of NAND flash, SSD ASIC, PCIe, and NVMe interface protocols to guide hardware/software solutions.
Software and System Integration:
- Collaborate with third-party partners to ensure optimal software compatibility and performance across the AI and HPC stack.
Partner Engagement:
- Foster strong relationships with partners & customers, understanding their needs and aligning product development accordingly.
Thought Leadership:
- Establish and maintain a voice in the AI community through publications, presentations, and engagement on platforms like LinkedIn.
Global Team Guidance:
- Lead global teams in optimizing software for AI and HPC, ensuring best practices inform our strategic directions.
Market Analysis:
- Stay updated on AI technology trends and market dynamics to inform product strategies and engagement tactics.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, or infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level stakeholders.
- Familiarity with firmware and ASIC design.
- Previous patent filings or scientific publications are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of storage systems, protocols, and NAND flash technology.
Preferred Experience:
- Demonstrated expertise in the datacenter GPU AI and HPC software stack.
- Previous experience leading AI projects in large enterprises.
- Familiarity with the latest storage PCIe and NVMe specifications.
- Strong connections within the AI ecosystem and decision-makers across industries.
- Proven ability to shape product direction based on technical insights and customer feedback.
Additional Information
For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $156,950 - $289,200. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
