This growing business development team within the broadband industry is seeking a leader to join their team. This person will be instrumental in enhancing market reach and fostering growth by discovering new business prospects and building connections with government bodies, telecom companies, and other key players. The AVP will spearhead strategic business projects and alliances to promote this company's range of data solutions and SaaS offerings. This position demands a forward-thinking leader with extensive knowledge of the broadband sector and a strong track record in business development, especially in areas like broadband planning, mapping, or related fields. Someone who has proven experience influencing change within the product/ policy space, has strong mentorship and leadership skills, and is eager to get into a fast-growing company will excel in this opportunity.
Must Haves:
- 8-10 years business development leadership experience within a telecom, broadband, or GIS industry
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven success in developing and executing business development strategies, particularly in the context of government contracts, data, and application subscription businesses
- Strong understanding of or experience working within federal broadband programs (ex: BDC, BEAD), policies, and economic cost modeling
- Proven leadership and mentorship to a Business Development team, not just direct reports
- Excellent communication and negotiation experience with complex and high-level clients and stakeholders
Plusses:
