Commercial HVAC Project Manager
Location: Tinley Park, IL (with occasional travel to Wisconsin, North Chicago, and Ohio)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager to oversee project planning, execution, and completion for HVAC and mechanical piping systems. This role is essential to the successful delivery of projects, managing project schedules, coordinating subcontractors, and handling submittals, change orders, and billing. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of HVAC ductwork and piping systems and bring a detail-oriented, organized approach to every project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management and Coordination
- Oversee and update project schedules, process submittals, and manage change orders, billing, and coordination of subcontractors.
- Ensure seamless coordination with other trades and resources, such as manpower and equipment.
- Documentation and Administration
- Handle project documentation, including submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), transmittals, and change orders.
- Perform detailed reviews of contracts, drawings, and specifications, ensuring comprehensive documentation of each project stage.
- Performance Monitoring and Resource Planning
- Monitor project progress across cost, schedule, safety, quality, and scope.
- Identify resource needs, including labor and equipment, to maintain project timelines and standards.
- Manage project planning and scheduling to optimize resources and ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Commercial HVAC project management experience (required).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, chiller, and boiler systems, with an ability to read and interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with advanced functions in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), MS Project, and Internet Explorer.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Able to analyze and solve problems effectively.
- A team player with a professional and energetic demeanor.
- Capable of taking direction and managing tasks independently.
