Manning Personnel Group, Inc., is working with a Biopharmaceutical company as they are actively seeking to add a Human Resources Generalist to their team. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the HR Generalist performs a variety of complex human resources duties - partnering closely with senior HR management in supporting HR processes and department-specific strategies. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides HR support to department managers and employees for assigned business units
- Builds and maintains positive coaching relationships with managers and leaders and provides guidance and support in addressing employee development and disciplinary matters
- Manages onboarding and offboarding, including but not limited to, sending internal notifications, preparing offer and new hire paperwork, background checks, hosting HR and benefit orientation sessions, preparing termination paperwork and hosting exit interviews
- Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
- Maintains proper documentation, partners with leadership on outcome, and ensures timely resolution and follow-up on employee relations issues
- Updates HRIS with new and changing information; ensures accuracy and integrity of information
- Assists in workers' compensation process, including claims management, employee communication, and related investigations
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
- Participates in company-wide event and team building planning
- Maintains information posted on the HR Intranet page
- Provides guidance on general HR inquiries and employee relations issues
- Conducts periodic employee file audits
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years experience in Human Resources
- Software skills, including a high level of knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and familiarity with an HRIS
- Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, flexibility, attention to detail, and an ability to maintain strict privacy of confidential data and information
- Ability to shift priorities quickly
- Prior experience in a startup strongly preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced biotech or pharma organization strongly preferred
