Join our team as the Corporate Deputy Finance Director in the Corporate Finance Department, under the administrative direction of the Secretary-Treasurer. This role is critical in managing day-to-day operations, staff, and programs including Payroll, ERP systems, Treasury Operations, Debt Management, Administration, and Budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee payroll, ERP financial/timekeeping systems, treasury operations, debt management, administration, and budget units.
- Ensure compliance with local and government regulations (GAAP and GASB).
- Plan and develop department programs, process improvements, and budget management.
- Supervise unit managers and oversee consultants and contractors.
- Serve on the Commission's management leadership team.
- Formulate policies ensuring consistent standards Commission-wide.
- Design policies, procedures, and internal controls for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as Secretary-Treasurer in their absence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of governmental finance management principles, budgeting, purchasing, payroll regulations, cash management, auditing, and complex financial transactions.
- Proficiency in change management, project management, public sector accounting, business administration, computer science, and financial management technology.
- Strong supervisory skills to manage and develop professional staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders and establish effective working relationships.
- Proficient in modern office suite software (MS Office), enterprise software, and specialized financial software.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or any related field.
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience, which includes three years of management experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, which together total fourteen (14) years.
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with both State and Commission rules and regulations. Driver’s license must be unencumbered by restrictions, revocations, suspensions, or points that could limit the employee’s ability to drive Commission vehicles or perform driving duties required by the position of assignment.
