Position Overview
The Project Controls Specialist III will play a key role in supporting Energy Services by focusing on project scheduling. This role involves creating and maintaining project life cycle schedules using Primavera P6. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to gather and update project data, incorporate vendor schedules, and support the overall scheduling efforts across the Energy Supply organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain project life cycle schedules using Primavera P6.
- Coordinate with various internal teams and departments to gather updates on project activities.
- Incorporate vendor schedules into the overall project schedule.
- Provide support for scheduling-related activities and reporting within Energy Services.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide and gather project updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of scheduling experience, with a focus on engineering and construction lifecycle projects in the oil & gas or renewable energy sectors.
- Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and Critical Path Method scheduling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Understanding of engineering/construction processes, especially in renewables and power generation.
- Certification of completion for P6 training is required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with engineering and knowledge of how construction projects operate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
Team & Work Environment
This position will support the Energy Services team, working collaboratively with a group of 4 schedulers and approximately 20 specialists on the cost side. The team operates in a fast-paced environment, particularly with the ongoing shift to renewable energy initiatives such as solar and wind. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team contributing to the growth of renewable energy.
Work Hours & Schedule
Standard daytime hours: 40 hours per week.
Hybrid work model: ideally 2 days per week in-office to start, with the possibility of flexible arrangements as proficiency is demonstrated.
