Title: Certified Electrician
Location: Greenbrae, CA
Compensation Range: $38-$42/hr
You are a Certified Residential Electrician (DIR Certified). The ideal candidate will have a DIR certification, demonstrating their expertise and experience in installing, constructing, and maintaining electrical systems covered by the National Electrical Code. This position will primarily focus on working within occupied apartments, necessitating excellent customer service skills, collaboration with team members, adherence to directions, and the ability to independently manage schedules. The role requires effective communication with dispatch and exceptional organizational abilities. In addition to technical proficiency, the successful candidate must be adept at material ordering, calculating material requirements, and performing tasks such as opening drywall, drilling through studs, and installing new panels.
What you will be doing:
- Electrical System Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in occupied apartments according to the National Electrical Code and company standards.
- Customer Service: Interact with residents in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their electrical concerns promptly and effectively.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, contractors, and supervisors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to specifications.
- Schedule Management: Independently manage work schedules, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with dispatch to ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Material Ordering: Accurately assess material requirements for each project, place orders, and ensure timely delivery of necessary supplies.
- Technical Expertise: Perform tasks such as opening drywall, drilling through studs, and installing new panels, while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, proposing effective solutions to ensure the safety and functionality of electrical systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and any additional relevant information.
What you bring:
- DIR Certification: Possess a DIR certification, demonstrating a minimum of 4800 hours of work for an electrical contractor installing, constructing, or maintaining electrical systems covered by the National Electrical Code.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service to residents.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, following directions while also demonstrating initiative and autonomy.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with dispatch, team members, and residents.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities to manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and coordinate material orders efficiently.
- Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, with the ability to perform tasks such as material calculation, drywall opening, stud drilling, and panel installation.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Safety Conscious: Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in residential settings.

- Ongoing professional development and training in electrical systems and technologies.
