Amotec is currently supporting a search for a Sr. Quality Assurance Manager. Located in Pitt County, NC, our client is a leading manufacturer in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Senior Quality Assurance Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO 13485).
- Lead the site’s quality strategy, setting goals and objectives that integrate corporate and site-specific quality initiatives.
- Conduct training for all new employees on Quality Systems and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Manage internal and external quality audits, ensuring there are no significant business interruptions due to supplier quality or compliance issues.
- Provide independent expertise and advisory services to add value and enhance organizational quality processes.
- Foster a culture of quality throughout the site by developing and leading QA capability building efforts.
- Oversee product testing and process control strategies, transforming the site’s approach from quality control to quality assurance through continuous improvement.
Senior Quality Assurance Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7-10 years of experience in a quality position, with demonstrated leadership in quality systems.
- Proven management experience (5+ years) and knowledge of quality control techniques.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead a large team independently.
- Knowledge of 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485 standards preferred.
- Previous Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
