Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Data Governance Product Manager to join their team! This position is located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
Duties:
- Identify, coordinate, and engage with data stewards and data analysts to drive data governance outcomes and manage data including data collection methodologies in support of company products
- Responsible for gathering or assisting with gathering information requirements for output
- Create comprehensive documentation of metrics and data governance processes, embedding business requirements and contextual understanding
- Develop a strong understanding of targeted business operations and assist in the analysis of related business processes
- Work directly with business sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure the solution meets the product vision and business objectives
- Implement a change management process for new reporting protocols in the analytics organization, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and a comprehensive understanding of changes
- Act as a champion for data governance, representing the organization's interests in cross-functional meetings and contributing to a culture of data literacy
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, employing strong project management skills to meet deadlines and objectives
- Conduct training sessions and create educational materials for stakeholders to enhance understanding and engagement
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data governance, analytics, or a related field
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including business SMEs and IT teams
- Experience in creating clear and concise documentation and training materials
- Certifications in Data Governance, Project Management, or Change Management are preferred
