About the Role:
The VPT is a key position and provides strategic oversight for all aspects of training, certification, contract compliance / quality control, and professional development across federal government contracts and within the designated Company business unit.
The VPT will:
- Serve as Sector Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder
- Serve as subject matter expert regarding weapons, tactics, and agency requirements
- Lead a large team of trainers
- Work with business development and operational leadership
- Represent the Company in contract bid oral presentations
- Comfortably articulate the Company’s training capabilities, protocols, and processes
The ideal candidate is significantly credentialed, possesses extensive experience in instructional design, has demonstrated performance building, implementation, and management of large talent development teams to effect positive change in the organization.
Those with a passion for continuous improvement, a results-oriented disposition, work well with others, and who understand the importance of alignment to business objectives in a professional environment are preferred.
Position Requirements:
- US citizenship preferred
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance, acquire any other required clearances and/or access requirements
- At least ten (10) years’ experience in training management in law enforcement, security, or combination of both
- At least five (5) years’ experience managing a team of ten or more in a training capacity
- MUST be Subject Matter Expert on firearms, tactics, and agency requirements
- Obtain/maintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) FFL Responsible Person designation
- Experience developing, evaluating, and implementing formal curricula for large teams
