GSA National has an exciting opportunity to join us as a Manager of Benefit Administration. The Manager of Benefit Administration is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and management of employee benefits programs for the company’s clients. This role ensures that all benefits offerings align with organizational goals, comply with relevant regulations, and meet the needs of our diverse workforce. The Manager will analyze benefits data, manage client and vendor relationships, and lead communication efforts to promote employee understanding and engagement.

What You'll Do
Program Management:
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, wellness, and ancillary benefits.
- Regularly review and enhance benefits offerings based on employee feedback and industry trends.
- Assist in maintaining various Benefits Administration systems utilized by our clients.
- Collaborate with Benefits Administration vendors to ensure optimal functionality for clients.
Compliance:
- Ensure all benefits program administration vendors comply with local, state, and federal laws, including ERISA, ACA, SCA, and other relevant regulations.
- Stay informed of regulatory changes and adjust programs accordingly.
- Understand the Service Contract Act (SCA) to assist clients in maintaining compliance.
Employee Communication:
- Develop and deliver clear, engaging communication materials to educate employees about benefits options and changes, coordinating with client owners for updates.
- Conduct informational sessions and workshops to enhance awareness and understanding of benefits across all Benefits Administration clients.
Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with third-party benefits providers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze benefits data to evaluate program effectiveness, usage trends, and costs.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on benefits program performance, along with recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct ad-hoc reporting as requested by clients and upper management.
- Assess and improve team processes for greater efficiency.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the benefits budget, forecasting expenses and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies within benefits programs.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor the benefits administration team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits regulations, including COBRA compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse employee groups.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (intermediate Excel skills required).
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Knowledge of the Service Contract Act (SCA) is preferred.
