The Enterprise Architect is a strategic role responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex enterprise architecture solutions. This individual will collaborate with various stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and architects, to ensure that the organization's technology infrastructure aligns with its strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise architecture roadmap that aligns with the organization's business objectives and technology strategy.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Design and document solution architectures for complex IT projects, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Plan and design IT infrastructure components, including servers, networking, load balancing, telephony, and data centers.
- Implement and manage event-driven architectures using technologies like Kafka and MQ.
- Set up and maintain observability and alerting systems using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Leverage knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations to develop tailored architectural solutions.
- Lead and manage complex IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
- Evaluate new technologies and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education/experience
- 10+ years experience in software design and lead developer experiences in large applications
- Experience with Azure
- Strong software development skills in Java or .Net
- Experience in technical leadership of large software development projects
- Experience applying SOA, Micro Services, Event Driven, and other design patterns to software projects
- Experience in relational database and NoSQL design and setup
- Working knowledge of the Hybrid Cloud model and Cloud Deployment
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code, Micro Services Deployment, and DevOps technologies
- Experience in building HA and scalable system solutions
- Experience in diagnosing and fixing system performance issues
- Proficient at system documentation and diagrams
- Effective communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Nice to have
- Broad technical knowledge and experience across IT infrastructure functions and technologies such as servers, networking, load balancer setup, telephony, and data center
- Experience in enterprise architecture methodologies
- Experience in Event / Messaging Systems (Kafka, MQ) Infrastructure setup
- Experience in Observability & Alerting (Prometheus, Grafana) setup
- Experience with the healthcare industry
- Proven project management skills and preparing multi-year plans for complex implementation
Job specifications
- Employment type: 3-6 months contract (w2 or C2C). Possibility of renewal depending on business needs and performance.
- Location: Candidates must be located in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota or North Dakota.
