Job Summary:
The Performance Group is searching for a disciplined, results-based, Manufacturing Project Engineer who will manage and coordinate engineering projects in the manufacturing sector, focusing on process improvements, production optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.. This manufacturer is a growing, high-tech metal fabrication contract manufacturer.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee manufacturing projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
•Process Improvement: Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety.
•Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality assurance, supply chain, and production, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
•Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to production teams, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions as needed.
•Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including specifications, reports, and project updates, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
•Cost Analysis: Assess project costs and benefits, helping to develop budgets and conducting regular reviews to track project expenditures.
•Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control processes to maintain product integrity and consistency throughout the manufacturing cycle.
•Training: Conduct training sessions for team members on new processes, technologies, and safety protocols.
Qualifications/Required Skills:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
•Relevant work experience in manufacturing engineering or project management.
•Proficiency in project management and manufacturing tools.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
•Ability to understand multiple fabrication techniques. (i.e. lasers, press brakes, welding, etc.)
•The ability to read engineering prints is a must and expanded knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
•CAD Experience
Work Environment:
•Prolonged periods of walking and sitting at a desk working on a computer. Ability to
