Position Summary
The purpose of the Quality Assurance Coordinator is to perpetuate Enterprise-wide Quality and Regulatory compliance and continuous improvement through assisting with the implementation and maintenance of robust quality systems and processes and engaging with related projects.
Essential Functions
Systems Management
- Assist with the development and implementation of Quality Systems and processes, including the development and delivery of content, in accordance with Quality Objectives and in collaboration with team.
- Work collaboratively with internal customers including Corporate, to establish and achieve qualification objectives.
- Maintain applicable SOPs and processes.
- Participate in and provide necessary data/metrics required for Quality meetings
- Review batch records to determine compliance with all established and approved written procedures.
- Review, prepare, execute, approve, assist with, and maintain applicable Change Controls and Validation documentation for retrospective, concurrent, and prospective validation compliance specific to the Quality Management System.
- Assist with current and future processes and workflows in the QMS.
Complaint/Nonconformance Investigations
- Conduct investigation, documentation, and review and approval of non-conformances, CAPAs related to customer complaints.
- Effectively utilize product and quality knowledge to perform robust investigations leading to root cause, including review of retain product samples and associated production and batch record.
Document Processing
- Review document change requests and documentation for compliance.
- Process all change requests and documents for review, approval, and issuance.
- Distribute copies of controlled documentation as requested.
- Ensure revision control of all controlled documents.
Customer Service
- Assist internal customers with technical support and status inquiries.
Reporting & Analysis
- Create monthly trending reports and metrics for Complaints, Nonconformances/DMRs, and others as appropriate.
- Deliver departmental metrics as requested.
- Analyze and plan upgrade strategies to ensure compliance
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent. Relative work experience in a GMP environment may be considered in lieu of degree.
- At least 3 years in a Quality role in a GMP environment. Document Control System, CAPA/Complaint investigation working knowledge preferred.
- Breadth of knowledge to sufficiently navigate and convey the requirements for the GMP Quality System in accordance with FDA regulations and ISO Standards.
- Strong positive influencer skills are required; must be able to train, coach and motivate Associates to affect a culture of Quality and compliance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with all organizational levels and external partners.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate troubleshooting of complex problems.
- Ability to meet needs of Enterprise by effective prioritization and task balancing
