Position Summary
The Director of Operations oversees the day-to-day activities of Land Development Group, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides leadership to the team that is in alignment with company vision, mission, and values
- Cultivates the personal, spiritual, financial, and professional growth of employees through open communication and conducting weekly 1:1’s
- Establishes standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement
- Fosters positive working relationships with vendors and trade partners
- Assists in reviewing project estimates submitted by trade partners
- Examines contracts and other legal documents necessary for operations
- Guides priority in accounting, estimating, and purchasing
- Leads a team of Project Managers in aligning production schedules and ensuring product levels are managed properly
- Identifies the training and development needs of staff
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in the use of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership and project management skills
- Previous land development and project management experience is required
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- OSHA training required within six (6) months of hire
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Works indoors in temperature-controlled environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting required
- Occasionally required to walk and stand
