Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. As a key partner to the CEO and senior executives, the CFO will lead the finance and accounting functions during a pivotal period of expansion and transformation. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping financial strategies and supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and mentor a world-class finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Partner with the CEO to develop, implement, and execute a long-term strategic financial plan aligned with business objectives.
- Design and implement robust financial and accounting controls, including standard costing systems.
- Oversee internal and external financial reporting frameworks, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity in all financial and accounting outputs, supervising key deliverables.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage relationships with key third-party service providers, including auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
- Lead the preparation of financial reviews, audits, and tax compliance reports.
- Review and assess contracts as needed.
- Guide M&A efforts, overseeing due diligence and financial integration.
- Position the company for potential liquidity events such as an IPO or similar.
- Deliver financial presentations to the Board of Directors and internal/external stakeholders, including lenders.
- Execute special projects and initiatives as directed by the CEO.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of financial management experience, including at least 5 years as a CFO within a $200M+ manufacturing organization.
- Strong background in cost accounting, with the ability to implement accounting and financial systems that balance practicality and cost-efficiency.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and experience managing cash flow in complex business environments.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Experience leading internal and external financial audits, with a proven ability to prepare financial presentations for the Board.
- Experience in both public and private companies; familiarity with private equity firms is a plus.
- Expertise in foreign exchange and international cash management is desirable.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
