BBSI has partnered with a leading manufacturer in the production of high-quality wood reels for the wire and cable industry. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations.
Job Summary:
As the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. This includes managing production processes, ensuring quality control, maintaining safety standards, and leading a team of skilled workers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily factory operations and production schedules to ensure an organized, timely, and efficient output.
- Manage and lead a team of production staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of raw materials.
- Establish and Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for process improvement.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance skills and productivity.
- Liaise with other departments (such as sales, logistics, maintenance, and upper management) to coordinate production schedules and fulfill customer orders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on wood products OR Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Management
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in production planning and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Bilingual Spanish
