Job Title: Vice President of Operations - Mechanical
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Salary: USD $200,000 - $250,000 Annually
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Operations to lead our Mechanical Operations Department. This individual will be responsible for the overall performance, development, and growth of the operations department, focusing on business development, work acquisition, and project execution. The ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership to the team and oversee various groups and business units within the department, ensuring optimal performance and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and oversight to group and business unit managers, addressing major challenges, legal issues, and performance concerns.
- Lead the development, training, and implementation of standard policies and procedures across the department.
- Work closely with department managers to ensure proper staffing and service provision to support the operations department.
- Participate in key hiring decisions and the interview process for significant roles.
- Conduct monthly project management meetings to address performance and financial issues, providing updates on corporate and departmental developments.
- Develop long-range business strategies and oversee customer satisfaction for both external and internal customers.
- Maintain staffing levels and ensure proper structure within the department.
- Review employee performance evaluations, compensation, and bonus administration.
- Assist with marketing initiatives and provide leadership mentoring and coaching for all department personnel.
- Oversee the financial performance of the operations department.
Qualifications:
- 20+ years of leadership experience in a major corporate function or strategic business group.
- Proven ability to develop and lead long-term corporate strategies and objectives.
- Strong skills in cross-functional strategy integration and decision-making.
- Ultimate accountability for the performance results of the organization.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and skills.
