Mechanical Engineer - MEP Firm (Baltimore, MD)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) engineering team based in Baltimore, MD. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse and complex building systems projects across commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors. You will play a critical part in designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems that drive energy efficiency and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for a wide range of building projects.
- Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system analysis to ensure optimal performance and sustainability.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems into building designs.
- Review project plans, specifications, and design criteria to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Conduct field visits and inspections to assess mechanical installations and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation for clients and project stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in mechanical engineering and MEP systems design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in mechanical design for building systems, preferably within an MEP firm.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard design software.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems design, codes, and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus or the ability to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
