What is the position?
The Office Assistant will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing physical correspondence. The position entails researching and implementing employee and operational adjustments, while keeping databases updated to ensure precise incoming mail delivery. Additional tasks may include sharing corporate messages, maintaining common areas, and offering timely services to enhance operational efficiency.
What will you do?
As an Office Assistant, you will:
- Receive, log, and deliver incoming packages and freight shipments.
- Collect signatures and scan for quick retrieval of delivery data.
- Manage heavy/outsize outgoing shipments and respond to inquiries.
- Sort and deliver U.S. and inter-office mail, tracking volume.
- Update GBS Metrics report monthly with mail volume data.
- Prepare packages using vendor software and supplies.
- Choose cost-effective couriers and methods based on needs.
- Ensure accurate labels, documents, and account details.
- Process and track personal employee shipping, checks, and payments.
- Maintain accurate records through scanning and documentation.
