CMK Resources is partnering with Pure Storage to recruit a Senior Pure Storage FlashBlade Engineer for an onsite position in Tampa, FL. The selected candidate will lead a high-priority migration for a public sector client, transitioning data from Splunk "smart store" and Azure Blob to Pure FlashBlade Storage. This role involves managing classified, secret, and unclassified data while optimizing the infrastructure for secure, high-performance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration from Splunk "smart store" and Azure Blob to Pure FlashBlade Storage.
- Implement and manage FlashBlade object storage in a high-security environment.
- Collaborate on technical challenges involving Splunk indexing and bucket structures, ensuring data readability post-migration.
- Oversee repatriation efforts, including evaluating on-premises storage options such as S3 on FlashBlade.
- Provide support for classified, secret, and unclassified data, ensuring compliance with federal security requirements.
- Manage data retention, evaluate dual cloud and on-prem strategies, and optimize data storage solutions.
- Use approved migration tools such as Parsec to ensure a smooth transition.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget.
- Mentor and train client staff on the new infrastructure and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Active Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
- Expertise with Pure Storage FlashBlade and S3 Object Storage.
- Strong understanding of Splunk architecture, indexing, and data bucket management.
- Experience with public sector or classified environments, particularly involving data migrations.
- Ability to work onsite in Tampa, FL, for the project duration.
- Familiarity with Azure Blob storage and WAN link optimization in slow network environments is a plus.
