Company in the pavement marking industry within the Commercial & Residential Construction industry is seeking an Office Coordinator, Shop Administrator. The Office Coordinator, Shop Administrator will report into the Shop Manager. This is a great opportunity supporting a small, family-owned business in Bridgeport, Connecticut 06605.
This is an on-site opportunity and hours of work can fluctuate, work week runs Monday through Friday and hours are 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday; Must be able to work within the core Shop hours of 7AM-4:30PM. 40 hour. The compensation range up to 60K with benefits.
The ideal candidate holds the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
- Excellent computer skills; proficient with Excel
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter/problem solver
- Excellent communication and people skills
The key responsibilities are as followed:
- Assist in planning and coordinating all projects from inception to completion.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors.
- Working closely with the Lead Estimator on “take-offs” and estimating for Large DOT projects, including analyzing complex projects to help the Lead Estimator in pricing for potential work.
- Tracking the progress of ongoing work
- Tracking Prime Jobs as well as Element Projects
- Responsible for setting up new purchase orders and verifying quantities with Districts/contractors monthly.
- Assist in setting up crew schedules / plans for the week/day
- Create work orders.
- Update Reflectivity Spreadsheet
- Cost work orders that come into operation after each shift for PM’s
- Assist in scheduling for PM’s
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying any issues and proposing solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project management process
