We are assisting our client company to find top talent for a full -time Manufacturing Process Engineer opportunity. This opportunity is located near Huntington, WV.
Experienced engineers or ENTRY LEVEL engineering candidates with Mechanical Engineering degree ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. Mechanical Engineering degreed candidates are desired. The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for assigned manufacturing processes. Through input from the customer, plant staff, and production employees the Manufacturing Engineer will review process controls, emphasize continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing methodology and Kaizen activities, participate in the development of cell layouts, set up reduction (SMED), lead time reduction and improve productivity through waste reduction. In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for achieving product target cost, improved efficiency and identifying possible production problems for existing products within their scope of accountability.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree - technical field required (Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred). Chemical Engineering is not a good fit for this role unless you have hands on process engineering experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience is a plus. Co-op / Internship experience is excellent. Will consider non-manufacturing industry experience with a ME degree.
- 3D CAD design a plus but willing to train
