We are seeking a skilled and experienced Product Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in using Jira, writing user stories, and gathering business requirements. Personality-wise, we are looking for someone who can follow instructions meticulously and works effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements.
- Utilize Jira and other tools to manage tasks, track progress, and facilitate communication within the team.
- Write clear and concise user stories that effectively communicate business needs and requirements.
- Develop relationships with the various Services teams to determine inter-team dependencies, and work with Product Owners to mitigate risks
- Gather and document detailed business requirements through interviews, workshops, and other elicitation techniques.
- Identify gaps in existing processes and systems and recommend innovative solutions to address them.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for business applications, addressing issues, and implementing enhancements as needed.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows, system diagrams, and training materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineers and Developers to design and implement solutions that drive operational efficiency and improve business outcomes.
- Participate in PI Planning, grooming sessions, road-mapping sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in software development, Product Management, or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 1+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry
- Minimum 1+ years' experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Minimum 1+ years' experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
- Be able to understand technical system diagrams and be able to discuss at a high-level with a less technical audience
- Expertise in technical writing, and development of user stories
Desired Characteristics:
- Minimum 1+ years product management experience in media, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams
- At least 2 years of direct client engagement experience
- Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
- Experience using Confluence, Lucid Charts, MS Power Point and Figma
- Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative
