Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in developing innovative surgical robotic systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical design, specifically within the medical device industry, and a strong understanding of relevant regulatory standards. This role will involve leading electrical system design, testing, and validation to ensure the successful implementation of our robotic technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems and components for surgical robotics, including circuit design and PCB layout.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to optimize designs for performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with mechanical and system engineers to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Develop and execute test plans for verification and validation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during the design and testing phases.
- Participate in design reviews and project planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the medical device or robotics sectors.
- Proficiency in circuit design, analog and digital electronics, and PCB layout.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 60601, ISO 13485) related to medical devices.
- Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and communication protocols used in robotics.
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE) and CAD tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle) for electrical design.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
