Description
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Administrator is a key role responsible for the efficient operation and optimization of the ERP system within the organization. This position involves managing the system, configuring settings, providing technical support, and collaborating with several departments to ensure effective use of the ERP software.
System Administration:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the ERP system.
- Perform system configuration, including user roles, permissions, and workflow settings.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Coordinate with IT to implement software upgrades and patches.
Data Management:
- Manage data integrity within the ERP system.
- Import, export, and manipulate data as needed.
- Develop and maintain data backup and recovery process and procedures
- Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
Customization and Integration:
- Customize ERP modules to meet the organization's requirements.
- Integrate the ERP system with other software applications as needed.
- Develop and maintain interfaces between the ERP system and external systems.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support decision-making processes, including ad-hoc reports as requested by the business.
- Analyze ERP data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to ERP systems.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the ERP system.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement enhancements and optimizations.
User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support to users experiencing ERP-related issues.
- Develop training materials and documentation for users, and train them on system functionalities and best practices.
- Act as a liaison between users, IT, and technical support teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience in ERP systems administration, such as SysPro, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- In-depth knowledge of ERP system features, capabilities, and best practices.
- Certification in ERP systems administration is a plus.
- Detail oriented and thorough in completing work tasks.
- Strong database management and SQL querying skills (MSSQL is preferred).
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand functional issues related information technology needs and to work with Project Managers/Business Analysts to create solutions.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and priorities.
