The Learning, develop and communications Manager will lead the transformation of learning initiatives by developing programs and be the point of contact for all communications sent to our Field (stores, DMs, RMs), Corporate and Distribution Center Teams. They will play an integral role in shaping the growth of our field store teams including career paths and certification, to ensure consistency in all stores. They will develop communications standards, processes and procedures and be the primary architect for all communications. This includes, but is not limited to maintaining a communications schedule around day-to-day communications, rollout communications, store openings/store closings, holiday communications, emergency communications and event communications.
Essential Details and Responsibilities
- Develops and implements effective learning and development policies, processes and programs to meet the needs of the retail organization.
- Collaborates with the Sr. Director of Stores, District Managers and Human Resources to determine learning needs to meet the objectives and KPI of the field organization.
- Creating and editing, text, video and audio content
- Measures the results of programs, both completion and KPI achievement
- Development of communication strategy and standards including calendars of communication.
- Partners with departments to refine communications: addressing the need for the communication, reviewing details and style and ensuring audience understanding.
- Writes, composes and edits communications using proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.
- Ensures the overall flow and process flow of communication are appropriate.
Experience, Education, Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources or a related field
- 2+ years’ experience in a retail environment.
- 4+ years’ experience in a corporate environment preferred.
- 4+ years’ experience in developing and facilitating learning programs through various methods including micro learning, webinars, district meetings.
- 2+ years' experience in developing and facilitating leadership development for various positions in the company
- 2+ years' experience in developing certification programs
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Applications: Reader and Photoshop .
