Construction Project Manager – Kalahari Resorts & Conventions
Location: Wisconsin Dells, WI (with 25% travel)
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our growing team. As part of Kalahari Construction, you will oversee large-scale commercial and hospitality construction projects from concept through completion. With four expansive resorts operating across the U.S. and a fifth underway, we need an experienced leader to ensure our ambitious projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Contract Administration: Oversee bid processes, prepare contract documents, ensure compliance with submittals, and manage project closeout.
- Cost Management: Control project costs, including estimates, forecasts, pay requests, change orders, and financial reporting to stay within the owner's budget.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, resolving conflicts and ensuring timely delivery of subcontractors and materials.
- Quality Management: Inspect construction progress to guarantee that design objectives are met, coordinating with design and construction teams to uphold quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience working for a general contractor or construction management firm, with at least 5 years in a Project Manager (or higher) role.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience may substitute.
- Demonstrated success as the lead project manager on at least five large-scale commercial projects ($5MM+), from ground-up construction to completion (tenant improvement projects do not qualify).
- Deep understanding of contracting methods, ability to manage design and construction processes, and familiarity with self-performing work.
- Strong knowledge of construction software such as Procore, Timberline, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and other industry tools.
- Ability to clearly communicate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
