We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Fort Lauderdale, FL surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for preventing waste and inefficiency during production.
- Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.
- Build prototypes, evaluate performance, identify issues, and make improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insights and direction.
- Estimates production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Confers with engineering, and other departments regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering.
- 2-3 years of experience in engineering.
- In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Hands-on experience building small prototypes.
- Ability to collaborate with program managers, manufacturing leads, customers, and functional leads.
- Advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AutoCAD a plus.
