Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Application Scientist specializing in Optical Critical Dimension (OCD) Metrology to join a semiconductor client in Hillsboro Oregon. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ellipsometry, reflectometry, and thin film metrology, with a strong background in optical modeling and rigorous coupled-wave analysis (RCWA). This role involves developing solutions in collaboration with customers, troubleshooting tools, and supporting our operations from the client office.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in OCD metrology, ellipsometry, reflectometry, and thin film metrology (open to candidates with 3-8 years of experience).
- 3+ years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in optical modeling
- Proven ability to develop and implement intricate OCD models.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement OCD modeling solutions to measure dimensions using light wave measurement techniques.
- Analyze and interpret models to understand and solve customer problems.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their problem statements and develop tailored solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for OCD tools.
- Travel to customer fabs (10-15%) and provide on-site support as needed.
- Work closely with a team of OCD application scientists to analyze and solve complex metrology challenges.
- Understand and integrate semiconductor process flows and Nova process flows.
- Maintain active communication with clients, demonstrating strong client-facing skills and an extroverted personality.
- Assist and support team members in solving technical issues.
