Shift/Hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:45 AM – 2:30 PM
- Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 12:30 PM
Overview:
Los Paseos Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team immediately. This role will provide specialized instruction and support to students with varying disabilities, ensuring they receive the education and resources needed to achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs, based on their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and other school staff to support student integration and progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary to ensure learning objectives are met.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student progress and future goals.
- Maintain communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and strategies to support learning at home.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Adhere to school policies and special education regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid state Special Education Teaching Credential.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged students with varying disabilities.
- Strong understanding of IEPs and experience in creating and implementing them.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
