Overview of the Role:
Salt are proud to represeting a global provider of advanced fueling technologies, systems, and services for the retail fueling and commercial vehicle industries, in the search for a Senior Product Manager. As the Senior Product Manager for Wetstock Management and Monitoring in the North American region, you will be a pivotal member of the Product Management team. Your main responsibility is overseeing the ATG (Automatic Tank Gauge) Wetstock/Fuel Management product range, ensuring they meet customer needs and align with business objectives. From initial concept through to successful market delivery, you’ll drive product development with a focus on business strategy, working in close collaboration with teams in engineering, sales, marketing, and partnerships.
Key Duties:
- Define product strategy and objectives by identifying market gaps and customer requirements within the Wetstock Management and Monitoring portfolio.
- Formulate a product roadmap, ensuring that new opportunities in the market align with product enhancements, to achieve revenue and profitability goals for the North American market.
- Take ownership of pricing strategies and manage both revenue and profit margins for the product portfolio.
- Conduct market analysis and gather direct feedback from customers to refine the product’s positioning and ensure it meets market demands.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and market segments to continually gather product feedback and insights.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, ensuring that performance is consistently monitored and decisions are made to optimize the portfolio, from development through to end-of-life.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to provide support on forecasts, analyze competitive positioning, and develop strategies to win in the marketplace.
- Maintain strong execution by ensuring alignment between key stakeholders and creating collaborative relationships across engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
- Work with manufacturing and SaaS teams to guarantee high product quality and profitability.
- Communicate updates on product performance, plans, and future developments to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 3-5 years or more in product management, with experience in either hardware or SaaS products – OR – relevant industry experience with ATG or Wetstock Management.
- Familiarity with the retail or commercial fuel industry (such as gas stations, fleet fueling, or convenience stores) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proven ability to grow market share, drive new product development, and strengthen brand loyalty.
- Experience working with dynamic, multi-channel sales teams.
- Previous experience in leading the launch of new technologies and effectively communicating their benefits.
- Experience in fast-paced environments, working with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.
