Position Purpose
The purpose of the role is to manage and lead the plant maintenance team to ensure the safe and efficient running of all the plant’s production equipment, facilities and building services. The role will lead process reliability systems implementation in the plant, ensures adequate processes and systems are in place to measure, track and drive continuous improvement of plant production equipment. The Industrial Maintenance Manager will implement plant preventive maintenance systems and best practice sharing with other plants of an effective maintenance program. The position will provide the skills, knowledge and vision needed to achieve world class performance in safety and maintenance of the site assets.

Major/Key Accountabilities
Automation Equipment Performance Reliability:
- Implement Process reliability (PR) systems in the plant and lead continuous improvement initiatives to achieve >85% PR in production equipment
- Lead an effective preventive maintenance systems implementation accompanied with a robust spares management systems
- Lead automation equipment performance improvement initiatives in the plant using global standard tools like Root cause analysis and Practical problem solving
- Establish a solid maintenance team structure in the plant and his responsible for the plant maintenance team.
Plant Technical Skills Capabilities:
- Ensures Service Centers have the correct skills and systems to allow efficient running and maintenance of equipment
- Responsible for recruiting, development and training of plant technical and maintenance team
- Lead plant automation technical Improvement Initiatives and equipment capacity increase initiatives & equipment replacement and new equipment installation
- Develop a plan and drive technical skills capability improvement in the plant inspection and repair operatives. Facilitates and drives the plant training system
- Implement ‘operate and maintain’ concept in plant operatives
- Drive Technology Transfer & Training (TT&T) for every new automation equipment and installation in the plant
Utilities, Building and Facilities Management:
- Leads building and facilities upgrades or building projects in the plant
- Ensures plant facilities meets regulatory compliance and good manufacturing standards
- Ensures all plant facilities are well maintained according to a maintenance schedule.
- Responsible for all plant utilities (power, gas, compressed air, water) performance
- Ensures 100% availability of all Utilities to support plant production
- Drive utilities preventative maintenance system
Capital Projects and Fixed Asset Management:
- Act as an interface or representative of the Plant operations in all design, concept, planning and design reviews of new line projects with Global Process Engineering
- Leads the development and owns the plant NHS capex budget and tracks the plant NHS capex spending in the plant to prevent over spending vs budget
- Responsible for raising the NHS capex for all plant specific improvement projects.
- Manages the plant fixed asset inventory and depreciation.
- Leads the annual fixed asset audits in the plant.

- Specific to plant equipment performance:
- Uptime/Availability
- Equipment Process Reliability >85%
- Line rate/speed in PPH
- Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) & Mean Time to Recover (MTTR)
- Weekly completion of planned preventive maintenance
- No equipment downtime due to critical spares
- Monthly maintenance spending within budget
- NHS Capex spending within budget
- Plant automation equipment achieve Vertical Start-ups in CQV
Authority/ Decision Making
- Role is part of Plant Leadership Team
- Purchasing of spare parts and equipment
- Recruitment and training of Technicians
- Management level authority regarding personnel issues and performance

Qualifications
- HNC Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline desirable
Experience
- 2-3 years in Management experience in an engineering or maintenance role preferably in the FMCG sector
Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of the Budgeting (control) and CAPEX process
- Knowledge of OEE and reliability systems
- CQV Process
- Project Management
- Microsoft Project as a scheduling tool
Languages
Base pay starting at $110,000.00/annual
